Hello!
My name is Collin. I've been performing almost my entire life. I started when I was a kid in local singing groups and community theatre. I got my first tv show, Kids Up!, when I was 12 and I was hooked.

I've performed just about everywhere from ships, to musicals, touring with bands/shows, and now I'm a recording artist. Some credits include, Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Cat (Magic to Do, Prod Stephen Schwartz), Amneris (Aida), P!nk (The Funhouse Tribute Show Australian Tour), Ellie (Blues Bros Touring Show) and my solo show Women of Rock. Currently, I'm promoting my new rock group The Silent K Band.
With a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado, I trained vocally in opera, musical theatre, pop and rock. I've had the joy of learning from some of the world's best performers, writers and teachers. Craig Carnelia (Writer - Working, Sweet Smell of Success), Alex Ryer (UNC, Credits - Chess USA Tour, Nine USA tour), Tim Smith (Vocal Alchemy) and Deric Rosenblatt (Vocal Power NYC). Each experience helped me discover more about the voice and how it works.

I often find myself having to sing different styles and perform daily. So safety and strength is essential for keeping your vocal chops healthy. I created a new method to free the voice, allowing students to sing any style and keep their voice healthy and safe. When performing consistently, a sick day isn't always an option. This method allows for longevity and stamina without sacrificing strength, tone or mobility.

How it works
There is so much confusing information about how to sing, it's no wonder people can feel intimidated. My technique is a unique method utilising the body's natural resonators to create the desired tone regardless of range. Terms like "belt," "headvoice," and "vocal fry," are gone. Instead, the method focuses and using upper and lower register in combination with body resonance points to create the desired sound.
Students learn in a safe but freeing environment. There isn't bad or good singing. It is about opening and creating space for sound to flow freely. Mistakes are encouraged, as we grow and learn from them. Students learn exercises in a specific order to develop each resosance section while expanding range. However, a student's movement forward is only dictated by their own feelings, pace, focus and comfortability.

For those students looking to further their voices for performance either live or in studio, the method helps them to create longevity and sustainability. It can help with refining audition pieces, setting a pace and tone for characters and shows, or getting the right sound for a record.

Lessons are 30 or 45 minutes and include warm up, technique exercises, and work on current material. For those students who are working on audition pieces, shows, or albums lessons can be extended and adjusted to focus on their needs.

The Space
Lessons take place in my home in Brighton or online. There are a variety of instruments for use as well as speakers for tracks. If you wish to bring an instrument, fantastic!

Lessons are one on one. Parents may attend the first lesson if they wish, however after that lessons are student to teacher. This allows for students to explore, make mistakes and be silly.

We have a lovley, very old pup on the premises as well. She is very sweet and will occassionally sit in and listen to singers.

All are welcome here. It is a safe and friendly space.
